Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Review

So I'm gonna be real; I used to hate body lotion. I hated every lotion/cream/etc I had ever put on my body. They always felt sticky or heavy or left a nasty film or whatever. I just hated them! I don't have particularly dry skin, so I never noticed any negatives effects of not lotioning my body. Out of sight out of mind.

Then, I got a random sample of Soap & Glory's The Righteous Butter and holy shit, game changer. I opened the sample packet with disdain, thinking that I was going to absolutely hate it. But the second I put that stuff on my legs, there was no turning back.

A 10.1 oz tub of this product retails for $15. I have no idea if that's cheap or expensive for lotion, as I've spent my entire life ignoring the existence of it.

The smell is hard for me to describe, its feminine and maybe floral, definitely fruity. I guess its their "signature Pink scent" which Ulta describes as "fresh bergamot, mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, and soft musk & amber."

Its very sweet, that's for sure. It does linger but its not oppressive. I wouldn't suggest applying it in the morning if you wear perfume though.

This stuff sinks in within minutes and leaves absolutely no residue. In fact, once its absorbed, if it was unscented I would definitely forget I even put any lotion on. And let's talk about how your skin feels, holy shit, like velvet. I have never been this soft, not even as a newborn.

Like I said I was never dry before, so I can't really speak on how moisturizing this is in the long run, but regardless I'm going to keep using it.

Overall this gets a 10/10 from me. Absolutely nothing I don't like. I highly recommend, tell your friends, go buy it, seriously. I have become a lotioner and there's no going back.
